Primary School (Grade I To IV)
From a half day in pre-primary to spending almost one-fourth of their day at school is a jump which Grade-1 students take. We hand hold them for a smooth transition. The primary pedagogy is designed in a way that they don’t feel the sudden spike in the outcomes and expectations.
The Curricula for grades 1-4 are thoughtfully planned to ensure that each child at school enjoys these years in learning. Discovery and creative engagement and research on how the brain learns best, developmental appropriateness, the theory of Multiple Intelligences and the National Curricular Framework, have guided the planned curriculum.
A typical day involves studying some of the core subjects including Math, English, Science, Social Science along with special classes in Art, Music, Sports and Drama. Life outside school includes community service and field trips that make the educational experience at Eva World School more enriching.
Our guiding principles are as follows:
- Teaching and learning to shift away from rote methods
- Curriculum to be enriched enough to go beyond textbooks
- Teach less to learn more
- Opportunities to be created to enhance the ability of children to link learned knowledge to life outside the school
- Examinations to be more flexible and integrated with classroom life
- Classroom experience is directed towards becoming good citizens with a sense of equality and compassion towards others.
